The Road to DC Our story begins with our traditional mimosa cheers on the plane. On the plane we break out our computers and start planning our trip. Unfortunately, our hotel is not in the heart of the city but it was only a shuttle ride. One of my favorite things to do is ask our drivers what are the must see places to see would be. This changes from driver to driver but always nice to get the insights from the locals. You never know what surprises await, but anticipation keeps the excitement alive.
Lobbying 101 Washington, DC, isn't just home to iconic monuments; it's where Realtors get to be the voice for their industry. But before entering the hallowed halls of Congress, one must understand the art of lobbying. Our protagonist brushes up on key talking points and strategies to make their voice heard and impact felt.

Networking Extravaganza DC isn't just about politics; it's also a hub for networking. Our protagonist navigates the bustling cocktail parties, receptions, and seminars, forging valuable connections with fellow Realtors from all over. We are constantly making new friends during our travels. You never know when you'll need a friend in another area. This industry is all about making connections. In DC, networking isn't just a perk; it's a power move.

A trip to DC wouldn't be complete without some sightseeing! Our protagonist explores the city, visiting iconic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, and the Supreme Court. Each stop offers a glimpse into American history and the enduring power of democracy.
So Kristen had a full day of meetings so B and I decided to explore the city a bit. We decided to view a few of the monuments and take a trip to the zoo. Sadly the night before we went a fox broke into the zoo and killed many of the flamingos so that part was closed. After a long day of exploration and a lot of walking we met up with Kristen for dinner and enjoyed an outdoor movie at the National Harbor before turning in for the night.
The Power of Change The Realtor Legislative Meetings wrap up, leaving our protagonist inspired and empowered. They return home with a renewed sense of purpose, knowing that their voice has the power to influence real change in the real estate industry and beyond.
While we were in DC the Supreme court announced the Roe vs Wade case was overturned. The three of us decided to head over to the Capital Hill and be a part of history. Regardless of your position for this case it was an experience I will always remember. When we arrived the area was heavily policed but it was surprisingly respectful. I stood back and watched the events that were taking place. There were two groups proudly expressing their beliefs and fighting for them. Adults and children stood together with signs and chants to make sure they were heard. I am proud to have witnessed and participated in this.

The Realtor Legislative Meetings in Washington, DC, aren't just about politics. They're a celebration of the American dream of homeownership, a testament to the strength of a united industry, and an opportunity to make a lasting impact.
